Quigley's Country Farm Stand

The items we provide at our farm market change seasonally and based on availability. The sweet corn at Quigley's Country Farm Market is totally produced on the William Penn Farm. In fact, sweet corn is the specialty of the Quigley family for three generations! Extreme care is applied to producing a quality corn product. The corn crop is planted frequently and in small patches through the planting season. Once the corn season begins, the sweetness and tenderness of the corn is maintained and renewed with each new corn patch. It is in this fashion, Quigley's corn has become a famous summertime tradition in New Castle and surrounding communities.

Throughout the year, we strive to provide the freshest fruits and vegetables. To complement the vegetables grown on William Penn Farm, the fresh produce markets in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland are searched for the best quality produce.

Spring
As April Showers bring May flowers and your gardening begins, come pick out some new additions to your garden. We have a good selection of annuals and perennial flowers, roses, and ornamental shrubs. Maybe even bring one home for Mom, Dad, and Grandparents! To add the finishing touch to your garden and shrubs, we have mulch and chips to help retain moisture and keep down the weed population. For the decorative touch, we have a nice selection of bird baths, wood and concrete planters, animal and angel themes for accenting your yard or garden.

Summer
In the Summer when the temperature rises and you are craving something cool, our watermelons and cantaloupes can't be beat! For your Independence Day celebration, don't forget our fresh vegetables and fruits for salads. When you are planning your backyard barbeques or beach picnics, don't forget our home grown sweet corn. If your need some recipe ideas or basic instructions for cooking corn, try some of the Quigley family favorite recipes!

Fall
Come visit us in the fall and you'll find the perfect pumpkin for your jack-o-lantern. You'll also find indian corn, mums, squash, apples, corn shocks (including the decorative ears of corn)! Everything you need to make your halloween and Thanksgiving festive. We do have apples and vegetables during the fall season so long as they are available from the fields.

Winter
At Christmas, look no further than Quigley Country Farm Market for your Christmas or holiday tree. Our trees are truly premium in quality, harvested in North Carolina, and brought to us fresh within just a few days. You'll find your Christmas or holiday tree here, as well as all the trimmings! If you have special requirements for a large tree for that large foyer, company office, corporate office or place-of-business, please contact us for providing a fresh-cut tree! In addition, for large trees or special situations where the tree can not be easily handled by our customer, we do make special deliveries. For a reasonable fee, the tree can be setup for you and placed in a custom tree stand available at the Farm Market.

For the trimmings, Dave makes our own Christmas wreathes and door swags. Elaine will fashion the perfect bow and ornaments for designing a custom appearance for your trimmings. Joe crafts, with care, the grave mounds and blankets with fresh and bright trimmings for providing that special arrangement for remembrance.
